Adoration of the Christ Child

This painting belongs to Botticelli’s late period. It may have been done entirely by him, or in part by the assistants of his active workshop. The tondo shows Mary adoring the Child while he and Joseph sleep. On the right are devout shepherds and in the background on the left is shown the flight into Egypt.
